Frequently asked questions

Am I tied to a contract?

No, you can cancel your product whenever you want.

Where are your servers located?

The servers are located in Frankfurt, Germany in Combahton's Datacenter in europe.

What are the specifications of your server?

The servers used for Minecraft Server Hosting from Volcano Hosting run on an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X with a 1TB SATA SSD.

How do you make a minecraft server?

After creating an order and paying your server. We will create a server for you, hassle-free. After that, we will help you to set-up your server to your needs to the best of our ability. If you require custom software, such as Minecraft plugins, make sure to check out our Dedicated Server offerings, where we provide managed support. If you are not sure what is best for you, you can ofcourse always create a livechat.

How much memory do I need for my server?

Memory is very important for selecting the right package. Memory is used to load in all important assets for your server, such as plugins, worlds and mods. Generally, a good rule of thumb is to look at 3 things. These 3 things are the version, the plugins and mods, and the amount of world and their sizes. When looking at the version, the advised packages for each version are listed on the packages. These packages will be enough for most people. If however, you have a lot of plugins, or a big world, then looking at bigger packages is advised. If you are still not sure, you can always open a live chat, or join our Discord. And we will help you make the right decision.

What kind of DDoS Protection do you have?

We use different layers of protection in order to secure your server against DDoS Attacks. First of all, all our Minecraft traffic goes through a reverse proxy. This server hides the address of the backend, and it also blocks most of the more advanced bot attacks. Then, it enters Combahton’s routers where the traffic gets passed through specifically created game filters. Once through these filters from Combahton, it will arrive at your server. For more information, please click here If you however believe that this is not enough to protect your server, please let us know! We have a very low latency connection services such as TCPShield.
